Ingredients

  • 60ml rye whiskey
  • 10ml simple syrup
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • absinthe rinse
  • lemon peel

Method

Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe and discard excess. In a mixing glass, combine rye, syrup, and bitters with ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass (no ice). Express lemon peel over the surface and discard.

Garnish: Expressed lemon peel (discarded)
