Sidecar
A 1920s Paris classic — possibly named after the motorcycle sidecar that a patron arrived in. The Sidecar is the template cocktail for brandy-based sours. The cognac's warmth, Cointreau's orange sweet
Ingredients
- 50ml cognac
- 20ml Cointreau
- 20ml fresh lemon juice
- sugar rim (optional)
Method
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe with optional sugar rim. Garnish with an orange twist.
