Mojito
Havana's gift to the cocktail world. Ernest Hemingway famously drank his at La Bodeguita del Medio, and the Mojito remains Cuba's most exported cultural treasure. The gentle muddling of mint releases
Ingredients
- 50ml white rum
- 25ml fresh lime juice
- 20ml simple syrup
- 8-10 fresh mint leaves
- soda water
Method
Gently muddle mint leaves with syrup and lime juice in a highball glass (don't shred the mint). Fill with crushed ice. Add rum and stir. Top with soda water. Garnish with a mint bouquet and lime wheel.
